Reiki Level 1

Self-Practice & Everyday Care

This weekend training, traditionally called Shoden (a Japanese word meaning "beginning teachings"), is an introduction to Reiki. It is designed for those who wish to begin their journey of self-healing and learn how to share Reiki with family, friends, and loved ones.

Over two days, you will explore the history and foundations of Reiki, experience the power of energy flowing through your own hands, and discover practices to bring balance, calm, and clarity into everyday life.

What to Expect

  • — The story of Reiki – from its origins in Japan to how it spread in the West

    — Foundational concepts of energy healing and working with the body's energy centers

    — The five principles of Reiki (Gokai) and how to live them in daily life

    — Self-Reiki techniques and intuitive hands-on practice for supporting your own balance

    — How to offer Reiki to others with both structure (hand placements) and intuition

    — The first symbol and mantra (shirushi & jumon) in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage

  • — Reiju (also know as attunement) to open and deepen your connection to Reiki energy

    — A training manual and resources to continue your practice at home

    — Reiki Level 1 certificate

    — A safe, supportive learning space with time for sharing, reflection, and Q&A

    — Optional group and individual follow-up sessions for ongoing mentorship and guidance

  • Day One: introductions, grounding meditation, and Reiki theory, followed by your attunements, self-Reiki practice, and group sharing.

Day Two: morning meditation and self-Reiki, exploration of the five principles, the three pillars of Reiki, partner practice, ethics, and everyday applications. The weekend closes with a circle and certificate ceremony.

  • If you've never experienced Reiki before, I kindly ask that you receive at least one Reiki session prior to the training.

  • While not mandatory, a follow-up group session is warmly encouraged. This is an opportunity to reconnect, ask questions, and reflect on how Reiki is unfolding in your daily life.

  • 4444 sek (includes VAT)

  • October 25 and 26th, 10:00–17:00 at AYAM Studio, Stockholm.

Registration is open and spots are limited.

What You Might Be Wondering…

  • No prior experience is needed. This is an introduction (Shoden – “beginning teachings”), so you’ll be guided through everything you need to know.

  • Experiencing Reiki firsthand helps you enter the training with a felt sense of the practice.

  • Comfortable clothes, a notebook, a water bottle, and an open heart. Everything else will be provided.

  • Yes, we’ll have a 1-hour lunch break each day as well as shorter breaks throughout.

  • Yes, upon completion you’ll receive a Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) certificate in the Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage

  • Groups are kept small and intimate — with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 participants — so that everyone feels supported and has time for personal guidance.

  • Reiki Level 1 (Shoden) is a beautiful foundation, focusing on self-healing and sharing Reiki with close ones. If you feel called to share Reiki in a professional setting, I recommend continuing your journey with Level 2 training.

  • After the training, you’ll be invited to a group follow-up session and an individual check-in with me. Both are optional, but I warmly recommend them. They’re great opportunities to ask questions, share your experiences, and receive continued support as your Reiki practice unfolds.
